How many people here are naming their offspring after Canadian hero Stubby Clapp?
I've already named something of mine - Stubby. Which reminds me about the clap - ugh!





Note - And to think I've seen him play in a AAA minor league game about 10 years ago - think he was with the Memphis Redbirds.
Reply:I saw Stubby play for a number of minor league teams here in the States. The local play-by-play announcer for our minor league team here in Las Vegas and I think he has a perfect baseball name. The only one who comes close (and he is a coach as well now) is Razor Shines. Last I heard Stubby was a coach in the Astros' system. He is a gamer and I wish him all success in the future. Maybe the sports pages in the Canadian newspapers can keep tabs on how many new born males are named "Stubby" in the future.
