Is it legal to use alpa and numerics while naming your baby?

I want to name my baby "33RXG.44-00*%%". That name has a special meaning to me, and I know my son is going to love the name when he grows up. So is that legal? What do you think about the name?

Reply:That sounds more like a name they would give a star (minus the % symbols). Are you an astronomer?
Reply:get a life.
Reply:Yeah its legal. Im not a fan of the name cuz I dont know what it means, but it has value to you, so go for it I guess!
Reply:Sounds fine, but what will his nickname be? Three-Three?

In Quebec Canada, they will not allow you to name your baby weird names, like some celebrities do

Eg.

Jason Lee's child Pilot Inspektor

Zappa's child Moon Unit
Reply:lol I love it.
Reply:No, it isn't legal.

A couple in Colorado wanted to name their baby '4' since their last name was 'Real' but the government didn't approve the name. They were forced to spell it out as 'Four' instead.

Now tell me, why would you wish to name your child that? What special meaning does it have?
