What do you think of naming kids after celebrities?

Recently I've heard Audrey Parker (audrey hepburn, trey parker) and Dominica Mercury (someone I forgot, Freddie Mercury).





I think it's a little weird, but it's still pretty rad, especially Dominica Mercury, which sounds awesome. What do you think?

well i dont agree on naming them after a celeb but if the parents just like the name (which happens to be the same as a celebs) then thats ok.


i mean there are thousands of Nicole's but not many of them are named after Nicole Richie
Reply:I think it's fine for most celebrity names but not so for others. The likes of Shiloh and Vivienne(Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's daughters), names are very pretty and you could understand why someone would want to use those names. However names like Apple and Moses(Gwyneth Paltrow's kids), aren't names that you would really want to use unless you have a"Unique" taste.





I agree with you also on Dominica Mercury that is a really great name :)
Reply:there are so many names that can cause trouble down the road. nicknames, initials, weird combos, all can cause a chid to endure name calling and harrassment later in life. why give kids at school ammo to use against your child.





just keep in your mind " would i have liked to go through life with that name and would i have picked on a kid with that name? '

Reply:I think it can be cool if it's a really classy original name and someone who is a good role model and person. Definitly not Paris or anything but Audrey is really cute and a good name.
Reply:I like those names but normally I don't support it because all celebrity's will be forgotten and there not normally people to look up to

I know a little girl with the middle name Sooner... Yeah her parents are big time OU fans too...
