Where can I go to get help naming a new kitten?

Any websites that have lists of names. We just adopted a girl kitty and she's all black. I want something with only one or two syllables and preferrably ending in a long "e" sound, since cats are more likely ro respond better to those. Simple like Muffy. Nothing wild or bizzare. I was thinking and Im stuck between story and muffy right now. She's only like 4-5 weeks old right now, so I am takng my time trying out different names. SInce she's so young, she will have plenty of time to get used to it.





I have two older kittens whos names are Simba and Keira..so those names are taken..Im trying for something that kinda goes with those, but if not thats k too...Anyone have suggestions or sites?

My female Cat's name is Femme. My friends Cats names are nicky, cassy, poochie.


If I had a new kitten I would like to name it, Sophie.


I already have 3 and the two boys are Sam and Billy.


Sam is the youngest and brought my two old Cats back to life.





My husband likes, fuzzbutt :) just kidding, how about charly.

Reply:Its very hard to name your pet, but i agree with some of the others who have answered, sometimes its best for you to name your pet, becuase you are the one who knows her best and you can watch her behavoir to see what suits her best. Your idea about the "ee" is great. I named all my children with names that end in "ee" = Valeree, Zacheree and Brandee and then went on and named my animals the same way. How about Sassee. Just the color black is sassee, and i am sure that your little black kitten is already Sassee. Good luck and let us know what u decided.

Reply:If your any cat owner at all, which you are hence Simba and keira, you will watch the cat and name her on her behavior. You can't expect someone else to name her, she is your cat.The name will come to you.
Reply:i don't know of any sites but,when i name an animal (and i have 5 at present) i like to watch them. eventually a name comes from some trait they display or some behavior. you'll know when it's right. i had a cat for 2 months before i named her.

All them names out there and it's still hard to choose one isn't it!

It has been my experience that the animal will tell you her name.Watch for any little quirks or habits she shows you that will be a clue and before you know it, the right name will come to you. She's quite young and may not be aware of her name yet.





I once had an orange tabby cat that told me his name was RALPH. Every time he meowed he said his name so that's what it became and it was the only name he responded to.





Personally, I like the name LUCY, which just popped into my head.
