Can someone help in naming my identical twin girls?

I'm expecting identical twin girls but still need to settle on names.. We really like Tia, but are not sure what middle name goes well with this. We also like Darcie for the 2nd baby, but am worried that this also is a boys name and may create confusion where there is already going to be some (ie, which twin is which). What to others think? Also, what middle name goes well with Darcie?

Can someone help in naming my identical twin girls?
Congrats on the babies! You can be confident that God thinks you're a special enough lady to handle the challenges that are coming your way.

I don't think Darcie would be confused with a boy's name. I've never heard of a boy named Darcie.

I have a bajillion girl name ideas because my 2nd daughter was born Jan. 13th, and I was agonizing forever to think of a name. (By the way, kudos for not picking names that rhyme!! That is so tacky when parents do that!)

I like:

Tia Lianne and Darcie Jayne

and

Tia Marie and Darcie Rae

The main things to think about are:

-You don't want your kids to have to pronounce their names for people, so make sure it's something you can spell in a self-explanatory way.

-Pick something meaningful to you or your family--like a relative you want to honor or something with a meaning that symbolizes your hopes for the child.

For example, we named our girls Grace Christine and Joy Elise, which together mean "the unmerited favor of Christ and the deep satisfaction of being consecrated to God." That's what we want them both to have in life.

Best of luck to you! I'd love to know what you decide on and when they're due!
Reply:i would get a book of names and put a full names toghter for 1st and middle names. if it sounds good discuss it with hubby and friends. with darcie you could use lynn, ann.for tia maybe marie, jasmine. get a book and write down their names. if itsounds good use it.
Reply:Tia Marie sounds best I think...Tia Rene, Tia Rose also work well.....Darcie Jane would be good...Darcie Michelle, Darcie MArie as well...and I can't imagine anyone naming a boy Darcie, so I think your safe!
Reply:Tia is a really cute name. Darcie is cute too. If you aren't 100% sure on Darcie then how about:

Tia Eve and Darcie Olivia

Hope these help! SD
Reply:Tia Mareah and Darcie Ann these would really be cute names
Reply:This all depends on the type of mother that you are and your preference in names. Do you like traditional names or more modern names? Do you like ethnic names or unisex names? Once you have figured it out, play around a little. I am a little of all that I listed above. I gave my daughter a unisex Name: Kennedy..which is spelled traditionally. Then I went a little modern with Anaya, yet I didn't go ethnic..intentionally. Just do not give them sames that are similar b/c they are twins, they will need their own personalities. Also, be sure to review what their initials will be. No Amanda Simone Smith. In the end, choose the name that will make you proud whenever you speak it..after all, our personalities tend to reflect the individuality of our name.
Reply:just don't go down the route a neighbor of mine did please! Milly and molly! WTF?

Darcie is a girl name in the UK!

Do not put Maria as a second name for Tia!

Just think of old fashioned names as second ones, look back into families names, that is what I did! You Will be surprised at what you find!
Reply:Darcie Leigh (or Lee) is a nice girls name!

Tia Grace is kinda catchy...

Hello world, this is........ Tia Grace and Darcie Leigh ......... I like it.......!!!
Reply:i think you should name darcis middle name anne and tias middle name marie or the other way around :)

Abigail Isabella -- Allison Gabriella

Ava Tia -- Olivia Pia (?)
Reply:I like Tia %26amp; Darcie. (It's good to have names that don't rhyme so it won't be so hard on you in the future!)

Tia...

Rose

Abigail

Charlotte

Margaret

Maureen

Mackenzie/Meckenzie

Lauren

Cheyenne/Cheyanne

Darcie...

Rebekah/Rebecca

Shea/Shay

I like any combination of these for first names:

Charlotte

Abigail

Isabell/Isabella

Gabriel/Gabriella

Allison

Anna
Reply:Pick middle names from family members, or none at all. There's no rule that babies have to have a middle name. I don't have one and filling out forms is much quicker.
Reply:If you are settled on Tia and Darcie as first names, then I kind of like..... Tia Kivynlee (KiVinlee), and Darcie Haven.

I am a sucker for unique names, since mine is sooooo common, and that is what I tried to do for my kids, although both of their names are becoming more common in my home town... Kaydence Abigail, and Addison Alanna.

I really like the name Nevaeh(NuVaya), its heaven spelled backwards, with the middle name Jade. I was also crazy for the name Annastasia during my last pregnancy, but my husband wasn't. Annastasia Elizebath, but Anna for short.

Here are some names you could look at if you aren't sure...

Annastasia Elizebath

Jadelynn Raeanne

Neveah Jade

Ava Annaleise

Fiedre(FayDra) Jenaye

Ashlynn Rose

Keirsten Irene

Olivia Marie

Tavian Grace

Hope that this helps, I know how hard it was to name my girls, and I had them one at a time!!! Congrats to you, twins would be so exciting.
Reply:tia marie and darcie delilah
