Do you follow a pattern or routine when naming your children?

My name is Jeri, my husbands name is John, so I decided I wanted my kids to be all J's as well. My son is 6 and his name is Jayden, my daughter is 2months old and her name is Julissa, we are gonna have one more if its a boy his name will be Johnny, if shes a girl her name "might" be Jenae or Jaclyn. Tell us your stories!

Do you follow a pattern or routine when naming your children?
All of my children have middle names that rhyme when you say them together:

Marisa Faye

Antonio Jose

Isabel Renee

Reply:Well, I didn't plan it, but both of my children have double letters in their first, middle, and last names. I did plan on having their middle names relate to my husband though.

For safety's sake, I won't put their whole names here, but for instance, my husband's name is Dan, so I used Danielle for the middle name. So she has Daddy's name, but also the double letter...LL.

Like I said, I planned the middle name being related to my husband, but the double letters was just a coincidence that my mother pointed out after my second child was named.
Reply:My name is Monique and my husband is Mark. My daughter is Mackenzi 7, and we now have a son named Mark Jr, if we have any more kids their names will also begin with a M we call ourselves M %26amp; M's. Except my husbands daughter he had no say in her name and it begins with a L.... She wants hers to be changed to a m too.
Reply:well in my husbands family all the boys names start with a d

my husbands name is Delwin

my 2 yr old son's name is Delwin the II

my 2 month old son's name is Doc

and if we would have had a girl, her name would have been autumn, because in my family all the girls names are like: mine-april sunshine

sister-sky, cousins-summer, star, misty, etc.

Reply:No i have not . I thought about doing it but i cna find anything that goes well with my daughter name for her sister .

But my mom name all 5 of us and it is sort of a prayer . she said

the eldest name means . he is good

2 --------- he saves me

3 --------he loves me

4 --------thank you

5 --------amen

Reply:Hi. I only have one baby now, Alexis. If we have another it's not necessarily going to be an "A" name. I mean, we like the name Ava but we also like Carmella or Kira. For a boy Gaetono (Italian; my grampa's name) possibly. Nothing's wrong with all one letter. I will just pick a name that I like and if it's "A" then so be it :)
Reply:Well I use to think people who named their children with the same 1st letter were nuts! But low and behold I did it too! LOL Garrett and Gavin.
