What do you think about naming your kid a number?

It could either be the actual digit...like 1, 2, 3 or spelled out like "Three"...

This is strictly out of curiousity...Since I myself think its ridiculous.

Here's why I ask: Several weeks ago...maybe even a few months ago, I can not remember, there was a couple I believe from Australia (could be wrong about the country) that wanted to name their child "4 Real". Lucky for the child, the government stepped in and said that they couldn't. But oddily the parents just couldn't understand why they couldn't name their kid that and were going to waste time and money to fight it. I can't say what has become of the subject since.

But I am curious to see what others think!

What do you think about naming your kid a number?
If you remember the TV show Blossom, her best friends name was Six. And Seven is actually a girls and boys name, and is American. Going further with it like naming your children, One Two Three Four.... Twenty Two, Seventy Eight, Nine hunderd and Six... That is getting out of hand. But how far off is it from the movie stars naming their children things like "Galaxy" and "Apple" ?

Honestly naming a child after a number isn't for me. But it is not to say it has not been done. And I do not see why the government would care if some wackos wanted to name their child 4Real. But I bet that child will be thanking them in the future!
Reply:Six is a good girl name, and Seven or Sevin is a good boy name!
Reply:dumb
Reply:I do not think it is a good idea, Sorry
Reply:It's a very good idea. I'm thinking seriously to name my future children 1, 2, 3... etc...
Reply:I think it is ridiculous also, but I do know someone named Seven.
Reply:Yeah, your right, it is absolutely ridiculous!
Reply:Along with the stupid fad of calling children by random words I think it is ridiculous, the government should step in and ban a lot of names, I feel so sorry for the poor children that are walking around with terrible names just because their parents wanted to be unique.
Reply:Well, while the name is a little silly, a lot of names are so it is hardly abusive. I do not think the government had any business stepping in in this case.
Reply:it is ridiculous there was an actor his last name was Morrow (sp) and he named his child Tu poor poor child
Reply:I THINK THAT IT WOULD BE FUN AND DIFFERENT FROM OTHER PEOPLE NAME I WOULD LOVE TO NAME MY CHILD A NUMBER GIRL AND HOW ABOUT YOU? BECAUSE IT WOULD BE DIFFERENT FROM EVERYONE ELSE NAMES AND MAYBE THEY WILL LOVE IT PEACE.
Reply:I heard that story too. It's ridiculous. They want to name him that because a child made life seem real or growing up real or something along those lines... dumb.
Reply:Don't like the idea at all and the kid will just be teased when older.
Reply:awful idea
Reply:How low does a person's IQ have to be if they're naming their kids stuff like that?
Reply:poor kid is being set up for failure and a life of teasing. i pity the child already.
Reply:Naming a child a number is unusual and weird. It's like naming a child a food.
Reply:noo
Reply:Not a good idea. Though there are people named after numbers out there I am sure!
Reply:that is incredibly strange and unusual.

their child may as well commit social suicide.
