Help with writing decimals into words and naming decimals into mixed numbers?
This is fairly easy. Numbers to the left of the decimal point are whole numbers. Numbers to the right of the decimal point are fractions in units of tenths. A single space after the decimal is tenths, two spaces after the decimal is hundredths and so on.

Example: 50.75 would be written as either fifty and seventy five hundredths or fifty and three quarters. 75 is three quarters of 100.

If there are no whole numbers to the left of the decimal point count how many places appear after the decimal point.

Example 0.075 or .075 would be seventy five thousandths.

Now mixed numbers is even easier. 50.75 becomes

50 75/100. You take fifty as your whole number then convert .75 into a fraction. Since there are two spaces after the decimal point you know you are using hundredths. The seventy five goes on top of the fraction amount to show how many hundredths you have. Simple.
