What is the hill naming convention for militiary maps?

I have heard the hills were named by their height? in meters above sea level? what if two or more hills are the same height?

What is the hill naming convention for militiary maps?
It's true, hills on military maps are named by their height - the height number represents meters above sea level.





If two hills are the same height, they'll both still have the same spot height. However, since they'll have different grid references, they can still be easily pointed out without confusion.





Eg, Spot Height 235 at Grid Reference 4567 and Spot Height 235 at Grid Reference 3182
