How do you go about naming a community park in memory of someone?

My younger brother recently passed away (REALLY unexpected)..he was very active in coaching little league, pop warner, soccer, field hockey and basketball..(not to mention an extremely wonderful man!)........any sane suggestions?

How do you go about naming a community park in memory of someone?
You contact the mayor or the city council, and request it. They will put you on the agenda. It does take some time, be prepared to make a presentation and answer some questions.
Reply:You have to collect the money to pay to outfit the park. Then approach your city's parks department, and start lobbying them to get a certain piece of land dedicated. Get your city councillor on your side (maybe by way of a donation of time or money), and add their name to your requests. Etc, etc, etc....
Reply:get a petition, pass it around and present it to city hall.
Reply:it depeneds on how old the r
Reply:petition the community and take the petition to the city hall and talk to the mayor
Reply:City council?? County commissioners??
